"Box showed up crushed, I think earlier than expected?"
The box came totally smashed up and ripped, and I’m not even sure if it arrived today or maybe late yesterday because the tracking was kind of confusing. Either way, when I finally opened it, the stuff inside looked dirty and not in great shape...

"Really let down by the quality and timing"
I ordered a shirt and a pair of shorts from Alvins Island, the whole thing was disappointing. They showed up right before I was supposed to wear them on a trip, so the timing could not have been worse.

The shirt felt thin and scratchy, and the shorts looked okay at first until the stitching started coming loose after just one wash. It all looked way nicer on the website than it did in person.

I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but for the price I thought the clothes would at least hold up for more than a day. Super annoying to deal with right when I needed them, and I wouldn’t order from here again.

"Felt overpriced for basic beach stuff"
My quick gut check was that the prices were just way too high for what they were selling. I know vacation spots usually mark things up a bit, so I expected to pay more, but once I saw basic beach items costing that much, I immediately felt like it wasn’t worth it. The quality didn’t really match the price either, which made it feel like a rip off. Next time I’m saving myself the hassle and just buying everything before the trip or going somewhere else.

"I went in expecting the store to look…"
I went in expecting the store to look a lot nicer based on how it seemed advertised, but it felt like a bit of a bait and switch. The place just felt dirty overall, the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and some of the aisles had random stuff sitting around with dust everywhere. It made me not want to stay long, let alone try anything on. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but the whole visit was uncomfortable.

I tried reaching out to Alvin's Island about a problem with my order, it was just a hassle. The replies took forever, and when they did respond, they didn’t really answer what I was asking. It felt like nobody wasn’t trying to fix anything, just sending me in circles. I wasted way too much time going back and forth, and after this, I wouldn’t order from them again.

"Felt Like I Was Bothering Them..."
I went in needing some help, and honestly?? it felt like the staff were annoyed I even asked. I got super short answers, no real guidance, and basically had to figure everything out on my own... Frustrating visit, not gonna lie!!!

"Took Much Longer Than I Expected"
I ordered from Alvin's Island thinking it would be a quick delivery, especially since I was hoping to use the items soon. At first, everything seemed fine, but then the waiting started. I kept checking the tracking, and it barely changed for days, which made it even more frustrating because I had no idea where my order actually was. When the package finally showed up, it wasn’t in terrible shape or anything, but by that point I was already annoyed with how long it took. If I needed something quickly, I probably wouldn’t order from them again

"My delivery never arrived"
I waited around for the delivery, but it never showed up. No real update, no clear explanation, nothing. It felt like they were hoping I’d just forget about it or not bother following up. Frustrating experience.

"A bit too out of the way"
I’ll be honest, the location was the main issue for me. Getting around ended up being more annoying than I expected because it didn’t feel close to much, so every trip took extra planning. If you’re relying on walking or quick access to things, it might be frustrating.

"I stopped by during the hours they had..."
I stopped by during the hours they had posted, but the place was closed. Frustrating since I went out of my way and felt like I wasted my time. I’d definitely call ahead before going, just to save yourself the hassle. They really need to keep their hours updated

"Tracking Didn’t Really Update"
I placed my order and the tracking basically just sat there for days saying the label was created, but nothing seemed to actually ship. I emailed about it and got a basic reply that didn’t really answer anything. I needed the items for a trip, so it was frustrating not knowing if they’d show up in time. Maybe it was just bad timing or a one-off issue, but I don’t think I’d order from here again

"I thought the promo was going to..."
I thought the promo was going to apply at checkout, but it didn’t work the way it seemed like it would. I ended up being charged more than I expected, and there wasn’t really any update or clear explanation about why the discount didn’t show up. Maybe I missed some fine print, but it felt misleading and was annoying.

"Sizing was way off"
I ordered my usual size, but the fit was super tight and just felt awkward all around. It didn’t match the size chart at all, and the whole thing kind of felt like they made it my problem to figure out, which was frustrating

"Warning: “In Stock” Wasn’t Actually In Stock"
Just a heads up for anyone ordering from this site: I bought a pair of sandals because they were clearly listed as in stock, so I figured I was good to go.

Two days later, I got an email saying they were actually sold out. The frustrating part is that the product page still showed them as available even after they told me they weren’t, which feels misleading.
To be fair, I did get my refund, but I still wasted time and had to scramble to find something else last minute. I’d be careful trusting their stock info unless they start keeping it updated properly.

"Store layout feels confusing"
I had a hard time getting around alvinsisland.com because the layout just felt messy to me. I was only trying to find a few simple things, but the menus seemed scattered, and you end up clicking around more than you should have to.
The pages also felt crowded, like there wasn’t much order to where things were placed. I kept thinking I was close to the right section, then you realize you’re still not where you need to be. It just wasn’t a smooth shopping experience for me.

"Wanted to Love It, but the Selection Was Thin"
I’ve been loyal to this brand for a while, so I really wanted to have a good experience, but the selection was kind of disappointing. I expected way more to choose from, and a lot of the items I was looking for either weren’t available or only had a couple options. I still like the brand, which makes it more frustrating, but this visit just didn’t really live up to what I was hoping for...

"Checkout felt really sketchy"
The site kept freezing on me over and over, and by the time I got to checkout, the whole process was a mess. it made me a little suspicious about whether my order or payment was even going through properly. Not a great experience.
